In a heartfelt effort to honour the memories of our loved ones and preserve the dignity of our resting places, Lehae Funerals, a subsidiary of Alliance Group completed the last leg of its graveyard cleaning initiative carried out across 10 districts of Lesotho.
For this activity, Lehae Funerals joined forces with members of the residing villages in a community-driven initiative aimed at restoring and maintain the upkeep of cemeteries by clearing overgrown vegetation, picking up trash, and ensuring pathways are safe and accessible for all visitors.
In his remarks on the initiative,Lehae Funerals CEO, Mr Motjope Mokhathi indicated that cemeteries are sacred spaces that deserve care and respect. He further added that “by coming together, we not only keep these spaces clean, but also strengthen our bonds as a community. Together we ensure our cemeteries remain places of peace, remembrance, and pride.”
Lehae Funerals extends heartfelt gratitude to the chiefs and the community members that took part in the cleaning campaign, as their contribution made the initiative a success, proving that “rurilets’oele le beta poho”!
