Alliance Insurance Company acknowledges that it is through the support of its host communities that it is able to maintain its stance within the insurance industry. The company is driven by its core value of being committed to the community and it maintains its promise of giving back to the society. Our involvement in various Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives is an attempt to uplift lives. It is therefore essential that for over 20 years that we have been doing business we take into account the nation’s social concerns and needs.
This has been our biggest most widespread initiative by far. Funds raised during the cup were donated to the following charities in each district:
We bought coffins and food to be used at two burials for destitute families:
A three year project that began in 2014 that included renovation of classrooms, roofing, plastering and repainting. In 2016 in also donated books to various schools across all districts and Hoohlo primary was one of them.
In 2014/2015 we bought food for the vulnerable and orphaned children based at the centre in Mokhotlong, and even the village outreach. In 2016, during our annual Alliance Golf Day, we raised M104, 000 for the centre to be used as they see fit with the aim of improving the tiny lives there.
In 2015, we collaborated with Vodacom Lesotho and organised a winter soup kitchen where hot meals were served twice a week to the needy.
At Alliance Insurance we contribute towards building the social capital of our nation by recognising the important role that sport and recreation plays in shaping our community for a sustainable future; and this is seen through the various sporting and social activities we sponsor:
Main sponsor of 3 premier league soccer teams
